Description: Experience
• Min 10 years in HSE field (Upstream Oil & Gas) with management roles.
• Fluent in English both spoken and written.
• Must complete and maintain all certifications as per CPDS requirements.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
1. Develop, implement and audit the CPDS HSE Management System for continual improvement,
2. Enhance Workplace Safety ensuring proper risk assessments are completed for all aspects of the business.
3. Identify and define the safety responsibilities of all employees.
4. Adhere to and be the example to positively promote the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental and policies among its employees.
5. Establishing monitoring and tracking safety metrics measuring the effectiveness of the Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Management Systems for the office and each operational unit.
6. Maintain up to date on legislative or client changes and or industry practices that can impact the company and update policies accordingly.
7. Create and maintain an annual audit schedule for all aspects of the company and its sub-contractors.
8. Perform safety surveys, audits and or inspections, prepare written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective and preventative measure where indicated and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
9. Determine the requirements and liaises with the Training Coordinatoron the HSE training programsfor all employees
10. Liaises and coordinate with Clients on HSE related issues, reporting, meetings and contribute to HSE projects with the Client and or other contractors.
11. Interface effectively with peers and peer organizations, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, HR to achieve CPDS goals and objectives.
12. Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance and mentoring ot managers and employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes.
13. Ensure all incidents and or Near Misses are reported to CPDS and Client’s management as per internal guidelines
14. Ensure all incidents are fully investigated determining root causes and determination of Management systems compliance and or requirement of updating to prevent repetition of such type of incident.
15. Follow up incident recommendations, investigation findings, audit and inspection results to ensure close-out of recommendations or agreed actions.
16. Ensure that emergency preparedness and response plans are developed, documented, implemented and tested.
17. Prepare monthlycompany HSE reports and extract learning points
18. Organize and Chair Monthly Safety Meeting with upper Management.
19. Ensure that all HSE procedures / documents are kept up to date.
